kincde - he's a bad boy, she's a good girl. she gets stuck tutoring him, and while at first they just insulted each other back and forth, he's starting to flirt with her because he knows it gets her flustered.
aliza - they were friends when they were younger and cliques didn't matter. although they've obviously gone their very separate paths since then, a group project brought them back together, and now they're friendly acquaintances.
prokofiev - one of viola's top academic competitors. she's more jealous of her than she'll ever admit. they're frequent study partners and run study groups together during finals. she's also one of the few people who can get viola to calm down when she's on one of her obsessive rampages.
cavendi - they've been friends since before natalia got hot and popular. now that she's starting to drift away from the geek clique, viola isn't afraid to call her out on how stupid she's been acting in her attempts to get in with the cool kids.
ashlynne - she tries to be a bad influence on viola, and viola tries to be a good influence on her.
locksley - she was assigned to tutor him, and was surprised when she realized that he wasn't a complete idiot. now she feels bad for having misjudged him solely based on his reputation, so she tries to be nicer.
lne - being the fun-killing stickler for the rules that she is, viola doesn't approve of his daredevilish antics. not that this matters, since he's not the kind who seeks out anyone's approval anyway, least of all from some uptight prissy good girl with a stick up her ass. they have a mutual dislike going, which is unfortunate since she's stuck tutoring him.
eidson - friends and co-workers at a bookstore. they can relate to each other because of their low positions in the social hierarchy and lack of designer toilet paper. although he hates asking for help from anyone, he does seek her out from time to time, since they're in the same boat and he knows she's not going to lord it over him.
vandegrift - another popular girl viola was childhood friends with. she still calls to catch up occasionally, and doesn't care that her friends don't like her.
dephillips - another one of her tutoring clients. devon used to be the popular jock, meaning viola disliked him on principle, but now that he's lost his golden boy status, she's trying to get over that and help him out. he doesn't really know what to do with himself without sports, and she knows what it's like to feel like you have nothing going for yourself.
